The Department of Orthopaedics has been providing comprehensive
musculoskeletal care to the community with a commitment to
excellence in patient care, teaching, and research. The
department functions under the Directorate of Medical Education
(DME) and plays a vital role in delivering quality orthopaedic
services.
The department offers complete diagnostic evaluation and
treatment for disorders related to bones, joints, muscles,
ligaments, and spine. A daily Orthopaedic OPD is conducted with
facilities for fracture management, trauma care, and follow-up
services. Emergency orthopaedic services are available 24×7.
The department is equipped with well-established operation
theaters, modern instruments, and imaging support for performing
both routine and advanced orthopaedic procedures. Adequate
faculty members are available as per NMC norms. The department
also provides a conducive academic environment with
well-ventilated classrooms and smart teaching facilities for
undergraduate training.

including trauma, degenerative disorders, infections, and
deformities.

students as per NMC curriculum.

and procedural competence among students.
